  7. wordracr says:

oil is entirely refined fat. you won’t find oil in nature and if we try to beat nature by refining it, we get screwed :(
load up on whatever food tastes good to you plain, as is. if you can’t eat it raw and plain, your body is telling you it’s not good for your body :) loads of fruit and tender greens come to mind

  8. Ladymodel says:

Please cook with extra virgin olive oil, people! It’s the best oil for our bodies!

  9. DemonicSymphonic says:

meat fish and eggs are fail

  10. justinroxu says:

    u can’t eat exercise.

  11. EmzilyD says:

It depends on what kind of oil. For olive oil and coconut oil I would say false.

  12. xxgnomes says:

wow you hvae really nice hair
i couldnt even listen to you i just want to run off with your hair

  13. Quex01 says:

Great info, but alcohol is NOT food. It is habit, in our culture, for socializing, for getting drunk (let’s be honest, thats whats it’s most used for), not it’s not a nessecity. You body does not need it for functioning.

Yes, red wine has certain good things in it, but so has grape juice. What makes wine different, that it contains ethanol as any other alcoholic drink.

  14. naritaiwatashi says:

that’s right, it depends… I only rarely use butter and margarine or vegetable oil and I don’t like fried foods either… but I like to dip my bread inextra vergine olive oil and I love nuts… so if the fats are as unprocessed as possible, it’s good I guess!

  15. vrwhitlockable says:

    @meenukiran essentail oils, biotin too.

  16. vrwhitlockable says:

if trying ti lose weight should you cut out sweets and dairy all together?

  17. Petekinne says:

    @hammeringinthemornin

  18. otownley says:

False. Natural minimally processed oils like olive oil are essential.

  19. SayItAloudcom says:

Thank you Natalie. Love the pyramid. Sorry that some people love to point out the current health epidemic on the new pyramid rather than admitting the flaws in the existing program. Don’t be discouraged and keep up your epic work.

  20. zd3467 says:

Great video. Where would you place mayonnaise in this food pyramid? It’s mostly made of plant oils.

  21. 310H55V says:

the Egyptian pyramid is still better

  22. colocolinoDePortland says:

    like the pyramid…

  23. salvsoul703 says:

    It depends what kind…

  24. thedjscotto says:

@vinnyisme please don’t talk if you don’t really know what you’re talking about. it is somewhat flawed but large amounts of healthy oils (coconut, grapeseed, olive oil) is actually extremely healthy for you. She does mention a lot of oils I would NOT use. Furthermore, she does not base this pyramid on metabolic typing which is obviously a huge factor in how much fat someone requires in their diet.

  25. coolgirlee says:

What music is that at the beggining of the video?
    I love it!
