Cheap, Portable Resistance Band Workout for Upper Body

Purchase Coach Nicole’s workout DVDs here: www.sparkpeoplestore.com In this video, Coach Nicole of SparkPeople.com will lead you through a series of exercises to work out your arms (biceps and triceps), chest, back and shoulders in just 7 minutes! Resistance bands help build strength and muscle tone. They’re inexpensive and portable, too! You can use them at home, at work, or when traveling.

@MsDarkstar8 Unfortunately, it’s not. There is no accurate way to estimate or calculate calories burned for non-cardio activities (unless you have access to a high-tech research lab like a university might have). Sorry!

  2. sparkpeople says:

every other day because the mucels need to heal before working out again but also eat very high sources of protein to build that mucle like turkey for example.

Great video… I am inspired by our First Lady… I want Michelle’s arms… what other videos do you have…especially for tricepts

  15. sparkpeople says:

Excellent suggestion! Sorry we didn’t mention that while taping.

  16. celestedickson says:

Excellent video. Would like to suggest: many of us do not have the hamstring flexibility to sit up straight with our legs extended as shown. This increases risk of lower back injury/strain as well. A safe alternative is to either sit on a yoga block or cushion, OR roll up the end of your mat to make a cushion to sit on and elevate the hips. Or, can try bending the knees while still having the band around the feet.

  17. SophieMenter says:

Very effective and useful for people who, like me, have to travel a lot.

  18. tinantaz2 says:

Thank you Nicole. I needed this. Expecially to improve my strength and flexibility for my tennis game. Gives me more of a stretch than hand weights. Great job for you and me!

  19. IrisMG says:

Can’t do pushups, too big, But the rest is useful! Do I do these every day or every other day?
